MEIZU PRO 5 LAUNCHED – 5.7 FULL HD, 21 MP CAMERA, ANDROID V5.1, EXYNOS 7420

Meizu launched new high end smartphone called PRO 5 into the market.The expected price of new Meizu PRO 5 is around Rs. 29,999/- in India and $460 in USA. This is not released yet to the market and expected to release in October 2015. This is a great smartphone with incredible features. If you are planning to buy Meizu PRO 5 you must be aware of its advantages, disadvantages, price and specifications.

Display & Design:

Meizu PRO 5 comes with 5.7 inches Full HD AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors. Its screen to body ratio is 73.3%, which is superb so that your smartphone width will be wide and you will have a great experience while watching videos and playing games. Its display resolution is 1080 x 1920 pixels (~386 ppi pixel density) it will make your screen looks sharper and looks Full HD. The display protection feature for this smartphone is yet to be confirmed. It supports multi touch and lag free Flyme 5.0 user interface. It is very slim i.e 7.5 mm and has a affordable weight to carry i.e 168 g. It supports Dual SIM in which both SIM’s are nano and dual stand by. Design looks superb and attractive, but resembles slightly like Apple iPhone 6.

Software & Memory:

It comes with latest Android OS v5.1 (Lollipop). Within few days android v6 (Marshmallow) is releasing and currently we don’t know whether PRO 5 will receive android 6 update or not. It was mechanized with Exynos 7420 chipset which was made by Samsung and performance is fast with no heating issue. Constructed with Octa core processor in which one quad core cortex-A53 is clocked at 1.5 GHz and other at 2.1 GHz, both single and multi core performance is good and bench marked at higher values. This model comes with two variants one with 3GB RAM/32 GB internal memory and other is 4GB RAM/64 GB internal memory. Both variants supports expandable memory up to 128 GB. But one drawback here is it use second SIM slot, so if use dual sim you can’t expand memory.

Camera Features: 

PRO 5 provides 21 MP primary camera with 5248 x 3936 resolution you can take great quality photos. Its camera has plenty of features like  phase detection & laser autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, 1/2.4” sensor size, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, panorama. PRO 5 can record high quality 4k video with 2160p @ 30 fps which is awesome. Even its secondary camera has superb features like 5 MP and can record HD videos with 1080p @ 30fps.

Connectivities:

PRO 5 supports almost all the connectivities like 3G, 4G and bluetooth v4.1 which is not the latest version as v4.2 released. Its wifi has some great features like dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot. It supports one of the trending feature USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector. Its has two cons in connectivities, there is no NFC and FM radio support.

Battery Capacity:

PRO 5 provides 3050 mAh battery capacity which is superb and your battery will lasts for long time with normal daily usage. Currently we don’t have talk time and standby time info, but we can predict as battery capacity is good, its talk and stand by time will also be good. It come with non-removable battery which is an another drawback.
