After a big success of last year launched Gionee Elife S5.1 smartphone, Chinese manufacturer Gionee has revealed the Pro version of it. The Gionee S5.1 Pro has a bigger display of 5-inches and better processor/chipset. The company is not selling it with Pro moniker but removed it. Presently the S5.1 Pro is launched in China only but is expected to be available in other countries by the end of the year 2015. The Gionee Elife 5.1 was very slim with only 5.10 mm and included mid-range hardware specs.
Gionee S5.1 Pro sports a 2.5D HD AMOLED display of 5-inches with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels(237ppi). The screen of Gionee S5.1 Pro has a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 shield to protect it from scratches. The Dual-SIM handset is equipped with 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 8 megapixel front camera. S5.1 Pro is powered by 64-bit architecture based MediaTek MT6753 Chipset, Octa core processor that is clocked at 1.3 GHz. The CPU is coupled with Mali T720 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB of internal storage. The memory storage can be expanded further upto 128GB via Micro SD card. S5.1 Pro runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.The Gionee S5.1 Pro gets its power form a LI-Ion battery of 2,400 mAh. The smartphone includes Dual-SIM slot with the capability of 4G-LTE network support. On connectivity front, Gionee S5.1Pro features WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac(Dual band), Micro USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and A-GPS.
